2017 Apprentice of the Year:
Congratulations to Kelly Sustaire of JMEG, LP who place third in the competition of 25 apprentice electricians. The competition was held October 25-28 in Phoenix, Arizona. Kelly received a $1,000 Home Depot gift card and many tools. The Fort Worth/Tarrant County Chapter also received a $1,000 Home Depot gift card. Bobby Tutor, President of Tutor Electrical Service, Inc., was presented the Legacy Award which honors an IEC member whose work has not only made a lasting impression on this association but the electrical industry as a whole. The award recognizes a person who has given freely of their time and energies to insure merit shop core principles are understood and valued throughout the electrical industry. Their professionalism, leadership and innovation over a substantial period of time as left a true lasting impression on this association and each of its members.
IEC-CNA Safety Award:
Congratulations to JMEG, LP on winning the IEC-CNA Safety Award three years in a row. The award recognizes and awards companies which excel beyond OSHA recordable incidence rates. The IEC-CNA Safety Award is viewed as the elite safety award for the industry, recognizing those companies that excel in multiple areas of their safety program. Winners have taken their safety program to the highest standards and have shown upper management/owner commitment, high employee involvement, active participation throughout the company and effective controls over major exposures to loss. Mark Piland, Corporate Safety Director, and Drew Naizer, Risk Manager, accepted the award for JMEG, LP.
