LOCAL IEC CHAPTERS DONATE FUNDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH
AND IEC FOUNDATION
Fort Worth, TX (October 3, 2017) In April, the Independent Electrical Contractors Fort Worth/Tarrant County and Dallas Chapters held the IEC 11th Annual Tom Jones Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of Fort Worth/Tarrant County's long time Executive Director, Tom Jones who passed away in June, 2006.
IEC donated the proceeds from the tournament to two organizations working to fight the battle to cure cancer and help survivors of cancer.
A $5,500 donation each was made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 and the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
In addition, $5,500 was donated to the IEC, Inc. Foundation Scholarship Program. The Independent Electrical Contractors Foundation’s mission is to fund, promote, and support educational opportunities in the electrical and communications industries.
Since 2007 the two IEC chapters have donated over $100,000 to cancer research and the IEC, Inc. Foundation.
Established in 1957, the IEC, Fort Worth/Tarrant County Chapter is a trade association representing independent electrical and systems contractors. Our mission is to offer quality education and safety programs, governmental involvement and business information to help our members excel.
